When you need an RGB or fan controller

A motherboard usually has one or two ARGB headers and a handful of fan headers, which runs out quickly in a build with six or more case fans and a couple of light strips. A controller takes one connection from the board and drives everything from there, with proper speed curves instead of full-speed fans. The Corsair iCUE Commander Core XT is the choice if the rest of your parts are Corsair and you want one app for lighting and cooling; the NZXT controller is the simpler, cheaper way to add channels. For only one extra device, an ARGB splitter is enough.
